The Team

WaterCity started from two determined founders searching for a way to help consumers save money while conserving water, and has grown to include experienced and motivated individuals from green tech to high tech.  Founded in Monterey, CA after having won first place in the 2014 Startup Challenge venture division, WaterCity is on track to revolutionize the water industry.

Patrick Driskel (VP Business Development).  20 years in hotel operations and management with major global hospitality management organizations.  Focus on green technologies and practices in the hospitality industry. BA and Graduate work in Communications, Universidad de las Americas, Puebla, Mexico.

Karen Hargrove (Board of Directors).   Former Microsoft executive. Green technology solutions are counted among Hargrove's current interests along with a continued connection to high technology.  B.S. Business, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering, University of Kansas.

Steve McGowen (Advisory Board - Finance).   Retired Chief Financial Officer of Sun Microsystems, 30 years of finance experience including 17 years at Digital Equipment Corporation.  B.A.  Finance, Northeastern University in Boston, MBA Loyola University in Chicago, and is a Certified Management Accountant.

Rick Thau (Advisory Board).  Entrepreneur, CEO, and advisor, 45 years in Silicon Valley, participated in a large Sand Hill Road VC fund for 6 years, continued work with emerging growth companies and small Monterey County start ups.  BES Engineering Sciences, Stony Brook University.
